These feelings

You were my escape for a while,
Until you became much more than that in my mind.
I call you my best friend to avoid these feelings,
But now I don't think that title will suffice.
I can't stop thinking about you,
About your actions,
About your smile,
About your eyes,
What are you doing to me?
I hate it but I can't help loving it.
What are these feelings?

I can't talk to anyone about it,
Yet it seems like I can't stop talking about you.
I just want to know how will it feel to have my hand intertwined with yours,
How is it going to feel with my lips against yours.

I'm surrounded by your cloud of magic,
That seems to pull me in deeper every second of the day.
I can't help it,
I don't want to stop it.
When am I going to be able to conquer these feelings?
We have solved every conflict between us,
Why stop there and why not conquer these feelings together?
What is happening to me?
What are these feelings?

I Was That Girl

I saw her walk in the rain,
she was drenched and her hand would bleed her to death.
I saw her collapse on the floor,
she reached out,
tried to make it to the door.
She gave up,
screamed she couldn't do it anymore,
I saw the once strong girl give up.

I cried out,
I reached out to help her,
She looked so tranquil laying in the rain,
all worries and pain gone.
Anyone else could have mistaken her for being asleep in the rain,
If her chest wasn't still and her hand wasn't bleeding.
I knew she was in pain,
I wanted to do whatever I could to stop it.
I reached out to hold her hand,
But my hand went right through.
That is when I realized: I was that girl,
And I was already dead.

Fate, I Hate You - Chapter 3

"Yes Alan, of course I'll go with you to the dance!" Prosperity said while fluttering her eyelashes.
"Oh no. I'm not talking about you Bully Hellsflame. I wouldn't ask you out on a date even if my life depends on it." Alan shouted back leaving everyone speechless, shocked and in Prosperity's case flustered.
"Okay! So as I was saying before I got rudely interrupted by someone. The special person is none other than Delina Cortez!" After Alan said it, he waited for a dramatic pause. Gasps echoed throughout the hall and everyone's eyes settled on Delina.

Alan grabbed everyone's attention back by getting down on his knees and asking, " Delina Hope Cortez, will you go to the Back-to-School Dance with me?"
Upon hearing Delina's name, Prosperity and her minions ( mainly Lauren, Jessica and Gabriella) burst out laughing while pointing towards Delina. Alan ignored them and looked towards Delina with hopeful eyes but Delina just looked abashed and ran out of the cafeteria with tears streaming down her face causing Prosperity and her minions to laugh even harder.

Carrie felt herself fume up. She got up from her seat, marched towards Alan, pulled him by his ear to level with her 5 ft 2 inches height and hissed into his ear,"Iglehart, you are going to regret being born."

Carrie let go of Alan's ear harshly and ran towards the way Delina ran. Carrie had a hunch about where Delina was. She quickly made her way towards the Girls' restroom that was near the Study Hall. She opened the door to the sound of sobbing. Carrie ran towards the last stall and knocked.
"Can you please open the door, Del?" Carrie asked softly not wanting to upset Delina any further.

Fate, I Hate You - Part 2

On to Alan, he was a man of looks. He had Ebony hair. Alan stood from the crowd at a height of 6 ft 2 inches. His full, pink, plush lips were always filled out in his signature smirk.
His eyes were a Blackish-Grey.
To compliment his lips and eyes, he had a sharp jawline.

A few days later, Delina found herself walking to cafeteria while thinking over what had happens over the course of the last three days : Alan had shamelessly tried talking to her, grab her attention and Delina had reverted back to her old shy self. Delina knew she had called trouble for herself when she had confronted Alan and he -BAM.

Delina had just walked into a wall. She blinked her eyes and looked on to the wall. The wall had a poster of the Back-to-School Dance. Delina sighed to herself, she probably wouldn't even attend the dance and she didn't even have a date..

"Watch your step, Cortez. Wouldn't want you ruining your pretty face right before the dance, would ya? Got a date yet?" The words flew out of Alan's mouth as if they had been friends since ages.

"Shut it, Iglehart! And no, I don't have a date, I'm not even gonna go." Delina growled.

Alan just chuckled and walked towards the cafeteria. Delina just shook her head and entered the cafeteria. Taking her normal lunch she plopped herself down in front of Carrie.

Carrie and Delina chewed their food in silence until the silence was interrupted by a sudden silence drifting through the cafeteria. Then the sound of a spoon clanging against a glass echoed through the hall. Del and Carr turned around only only to be surprised to see Alan standing on top of his table.

"Ahem Ahem," Alan cleared his throat and continued, "May I have everyone's attention please!" Alan bellowed out to the entire crowd. He looked nervous.

Carrie looked towards Delina but Delina just flushed tomato red and didn't say anything.

"I would like to ask a special someone to the dance-" Alan started but was cut off by the school bully, Prosperity Hellsflame...

Something for you

Lately it seems like you are the only reason why I cry,
I have never been the type of girl who would cry a lot,
I was always there to keep your eyes dry,
They say everything is worth of a shot,
So here it goes.

Wasn't I always there to wipe your tears when they fell,
Wasn't I always there to help you when you fell?
Where are you when my tears fall,
Where are you when I fall?
I feel like I don't belong in your 'squad' anymore,
I feel like you don't want me there anymore.

Here is a little something for you,
I'm not going to hold you back,
I'm still going to be there for you.
I'm still going to be there when you need a friend,
I'm still going to be there when you cry,
I'm still going to be there.

Things are looking down for me,
So bad that I had to seek comfort in others,
I know you are going forget about me,
I know you will find someone to replace me or you already have.

From my side,
This is a little something for you.

Poem- My Knowledge

My pen is the sword,
My ink is the stroke that kills .
The paper is the shield,
The shield to myself.

The words and stories to possess,
I offer my mind as their home,
The questions that swirl deep in the mind,
I offer to find the answers through my eyes.

To yield my thirst for knowledge is shame,
To yield myself into knowledge is gain.
The sound of the chalk against the board,
One is at home.
The smell of the chalk particles particle wafting through the air,
One is calm and collected.

Some may call it madness,
Some may call it obsession,
I call it love for knowledge,
I call it love writing.

The ones who hate writing,
They shall never know the beauty of a pen ,
The roundness of the tip,
How the ink pours from the nib.
The ones who hate reading,
You shall never know the beauty of the words,
How the printed words feel under your skin,
The familiarity of the smell of the pages.

Fate, I Hate You

"So you and Ryder, huh?" Carlos questioned.
"What? How do you know? Who told you?" Carrie shrieked.
"I won't tell anyone, calm down! And I heard it from Alan... okay bye, I guess?" Rest of Carlos' words were already drowned out as Carrie was already running down the hallway of Brookwood High School in Georgia. Running down the hall she bumped into Delina Cortez, who happened to be Carrie's best friend.

"Woah, there tiger. Slow down. Practicing for a marathon, are we?" Delina chuckled but stopped when she saw Carrie crying.
"What happened are you okay? Did something happen between you and Ryder? Who made you cry? Who should I beat up?" Delina raged on. She burst out like lava erupts from volcano.
"Carlos and Alan know about me and Ryder. I don't what to do. Soon the whole school will find out and then my parents will also find out and you know that my parents don't like Ryder." Carrie sobbed harder.

Delina led Carrie to Carrie's locker and shushed but suddenly pushed her away. Carrie looked up to the sudden loss of contact only to see Delina march up to Alan. Alan saw Del and Carr and waved but Delina pulled at Alan's collar so that he was at her height. While Delina was 5'6 feet, Alan was 6 ft 2 inches feet tall.
Alan gasped at the jolt of his head but quickly shut his mouth when he saw the look of rage on Delina's face. Alan again opened his mouth to say something, only to be shut down by Delina's voice.

"Okay, listen up Mr. I-Strut-Down-The-School-Corridors-Like-I-Own-This-Place, I am not going to endure your stuff, okay? Me or Carr haven't done anything to you. Stop with the rumors." Delina's voice boomed out like it had never before.Thankfully the corridors were empty, she continued," And if you ever... okay I just noticed how tall and intimidating you are and I'm so scared and ashamed right now. I'm just gonna scoot." With that Delina ran away.

Delina was a beautiful person at heart, she liked to keep peace with everyone and everything but when she got angry, she was feisty as hell. She was Hulk when she was angry. Delina was a brunette, actually there was no color to her hair, she also had a curvy body and a kind smile. Her eyes were like her hair, there was no color name to give them.

On to Alan...

A Not-So Happy Birthday

"What me?I'm sorry, I don't get it. How can I break up the two of you. I-I-I..." I stuttered.
"Yes, you did!" Haliee roared.
" Oh, shut up! You think it's my fault right? If you didn't even like me why did you even come here or become my friend in the first place?" I snapped, finally losing my temper and standing up for myself.

Eva shot me a glare and said," Are you kidding me? Can't you see that she is hurting and you are shouting at her. I'm so disgusted in you. While I'm trying to make her feel better; you are just making her feel worse. You won't know how it feels when you break up with somebody because no guy would be pitiful enough to date you! And about the ones who did were with you for just your money or dares. they would just end up cheating on you. Get out of my sight, get out!"

With that I had enough and I ran. I was almost out of the hotel but unfortunately I smacked right into Meils' chest. Meils gasped when he saw tears rolling down my face.
"Ms Jennifer are you okay? What happened ?" Meils' questions rang into my ears.

Deep down I knew Eva was right. My vision was getting blurry from all the tears.  I cried harder and stumbled.
"No...no. I'm not okay." I hiccuped. Seeing me in this state Meils did nothing but pick me up in bridal style and cradled me like a baby.
"Would you like to go to your suite?" He asked. I just shook my head and buried it in his chest.
"Shall I get you a new room, miss?" Instead of replying I just nodded.

He carried me all the way to the reception and asked for an extra room, right next to his. I was thankful to have someone like Meils. He was my best friend and also like a father figure. He was always there for me when I needed him. While he was carrying me to my rrom: I closely inspected his face. He had developed creases on his forehead from worrying for me. He had strands of grey hair in his jet black that had developed prematurely. You could look at him and say that he was no older than 35. Well in truth, he was 32 years old. He carried me to my room and help me lie down on my bed.
"Should I inform Miss Eva that you're here/ He asked. Again I just shook my head. He tried to get up but I didn't let him.

A Not-So Happy Birthday

The rest of the journey was silent and awkward. When we finally reached Fairment Chateau Laurier, I got out of the car with my shoulders dropped and my head hanging low. I saw my butler Meil standing at the front door of the hotel. I gave him a forced, weak smile. I started speed walking towards him but I felt a hand on my shoulder and that halted me to a stop. The hand forced me to turn around. As I turned around, I found the owner of the hand nevertheless it was Eva.

"Jennifer Mary Ieyels! You better listen to me." I opened my mouth to say something, "NO! You will Shut Up and Listen to me. This is your weekend, you are going to enjoy it. DO NOT -
I repeat - DO NOT Let a stupid obstacle like Haliee and Stephen ruin your weekend. After all how many times does The Jennifer Ieyels turn 18?" Eva rambled. I nodded. For us I had booked two suites. The original sleeping arrangement was me, Eva and Hal in one suite with Stephen alone in the other one for one night as our other best friend, Charlie was going to join us a day late as he was stuck somewhere. But then seeing Haliee my 'best friend' glare at me the whole time we were checking in, we decided it would be better if Eva and I would be in one, and Stephen and Haliee in another.

For the first day I tried to avoid Stephen and Haliee as much as possible. On the second day, I woke up to find a weeping Haliee in the living room and Eva trying to soothe her.

I rushed towards Haliee with worries about her in my mind.
" What happened Hal? Are you okay? Is Stephen okay?" The words poured out of my mouth. Hal just cried harder. I shot Eva a questioning look. She in return mouthed 'Stephen broke up with Haliee in the morning'. I nodded showing that I understood.

I pulled Haliee in a hug and patted her back whilst she cried on my shoulder. We stayed in that position for 5 minutes, I thought everything would be okay between us. But Haliee pushed me away roughly. It resulted in me being on the floor, hitting my head and Eva just sitting there looking shocked.

"What was that for?" I hissed in pain.
"You deserve it!" Haliee sneered, "You jealous, ungrateful idiot. Steph broke up with me because of you. He said I was being mean to you and blah, blah, blah. Are you happy now? You took away all that I had and loved!" By then Haliee was bawling her eyes out.

A Not-So Happy Birthday

And so the trouble started...

"Um, nothing. It's just that you two are now getting annoying. I mean at first it was cute, very cute but ... You get what I mean." I tried to explain, not trying to stir trouble, not wanting to ruin this trip.

"What you mean? I'll tell you what I understood. I understood that you don't want me to be happy. You just want to be a whining brat. Just because you are rich and you get what you want you think you can intimidate me, but guess what you can't!!!" Haliee shrieked, ready to lung.

Stephen held her back and said, "Calm down tigress. Not to destroy the birthday girl. Not before the party at least."

I was pondering over what Haliee had said and I had to admit that I was from a family with a rich background. From generations back, my family has had the most trusted doctors in Canada. So, obviously that gave us load of money and with me being the only child, I was rotten and spoiled to the core. I would get anything just by looking at it. I would get anything and everything before I even had to ask for.

Eva could feel me tense up, she quickly grabbed my hand and shot me a look saying 'Keep calm, don't do anything you would regret'
Eva leaned over and whispered in my ear,"Jenny, ignore her. Forget about her and enjoy your time."
I decided to listen to her, after all she was my true best friend.

I could feel the tension in the air and knew that this weekend was going to be extraordinary, in a bad way.

A Not-So Happy Birthday

It was suppose to be a joyous occasion. It was supposed to be my day. A day when I got all the attention, when I got all the love, not my 'best-friend'.

It all started when I decided to throw a party for my 18th birthday. I decided to rent a hotel and party the week away, but of course it would not be in my hometown. We were about 30 of us so I decided to make use of that huge, never ending fortune my family had.

I took my friends to Calypso Water Park, which of course without doubt is the largest park in Canada.

Me and my three other best friends had decided to head there two days earlier. The water park was located in Ottawa and we lived in Toronto.

We decided to drive to Ottawa. Unfortunately, Haliee and Stephen were together. They were the mushy-type couple. So, they would always cuddle and whisper sweet nothings in each other's ear. Me and Eva would look at each other, roll our eyes and look back at the road. It had become like a routine to us

Once while doing the 'routine', Haliee caught us and said, "What is your problem? Are you like jealous or something?"
And so the trouble started...
